Dependence of Spicule Properties on the Magnetic Field — Results from Magnetohydrodynamics Simulations
Kartav Kesri, Sahel Dey, Piyali Chatterjee, Dipankar Banerjee
Solar spicules are plasma jets observed in the interface region between the visible solar surface and the corona. We solve the radiative MHD equations using Pencil Code at 16 km resolution under various magnetic field strengths to investigate how the imposed field governs spicule properties such as height, velocity, and lifetime.
